New York Cactus & Succulent Society

Next meeting: Thursday, February 16, 2012, 6-7:45 PM
(331 Madison Ave).
Norman Bobrow will discuss his experiences in growing cacti and succulents in a greenhouse. Although most of our members do not own a greenhouse, they should find the discussion interesting in that growing plants on a larger scale has both its advantages and its pitfalls. In addition, Norman will discuss how he grows the same plants that many of our members own and grow on windowsills.

As usual we will have "show and tell" and plant sales

Welcome to the New York Cactus & Succulent Society. The NYCSS is a group of cactus and succulent enthusiasts dedicated to growing and learning about this fascinating and diverse group of plants.

We meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month except for July and August, at 331 Madison Avenue (near 43rd St), 7th Floor. Meetings cover all aspects of cactus and succulent growing; formats range from talks to slide shows to sessions on repotting techniques. We also make trips to plant shows and sales in and outside of the city and visit members' collections.
