The New York Cactus and Succulent Society (NYCSS), established in 1956, is an affiliate member club of the Cactus & Succulent Society of America (CSSA). Our aim is to provide the best knowledge and practices for growing cactus and succulents in the climate of the Northeastern US (and in tight apartment spaces). We teach how to grow from seed, propagation techniques such as grafting and many other practical skills that will aid you in your growing journey! Our in-person meetings on the third Thursday of each month, usually featuring a presentation and a plant auction. Members also regularly swap seeds, seedlings or cuttings, making it a great place to build a collection sustainably.
Our monthly meetings are held at: 488 Madison Ave, Floor 19, NY 10022 at 6 PM.
The meeting date is typically the third Thursday of each month, and is announced through our e-mail list and on our IG account.
Meetings feature a presentation/discussion topic, and a plant auction. If there is something you would like to see added don't hesistate to contact us.
